Founded in 2021 and based in Bath, United Kingfom, DRIFT offers a brand-new class of mobile, renewable energy that is independent of any power grid. High performance, state-of-the-art sailing ships harness deep ocean wind to produce green hydrogen at sea and deliver it globally, essentially making them ‘fishing boats for energy’. They do this using a unique, AI-enabled vessel routing algorithm that keeps them in optimum weather conditions.

Our energy transition solution is mobile, resilient and works outside of existing infrastructure projects. DRIFT’s technology uniquely unlocks the planet’s greatest resource, overcoming supply challenges and enabling a fair and equitable clean energy transition.

One of DRIFT’s energy harvesting ships could produce enough green energy to power 800-1000 UK homes, 30 hydrogen powered buses or a fleet of 400 hydrogen vans in a single year.
